Yes, however the surcharge is already included in the price of any Grand Canyon Helicopter tour.

Passengers weighing 300lbs (136.36kg / 21.43 stone) or more will be charged a fee for an additional comfort seat. This fee is based on the product and ranges from $50 to $200.

You really can't go wrong with any time touring the Grand Canyon by air. Some passengers like flying first thing in the morning to free up the rest of their day in Vegas. Others enjoy the sunset views to round out their day. Others enjoy the midday light. It really is stunning no matter when you fly.

Layered clothing is recommended through the months of March to September, and winter clothing should be worn from October to mid-March. Wear sensible shoes. The ground at the Grand Canyon is rough, rocky and uneven. It is important to wear sturdy, toe-covering shoes that can handle rough terrain. Sneakers or hiking boots are highly recommended. All helicopters are climate-controlled.

At Grand Canyon Helicopters, safety is the number one concern for our customers and employees. We are fully certified by TOPS (Tour Operators Program of Safety.) TOPS (www.topsafety.org) is an organization whose sole goal is to ensure safety and reliability throughout the air tour industry. Operators who carry a TOPS certification have agreed to operate their airlines to standards that far exceed those set forth by the FAA. These standards are upheld and enforced by regular internal audits and annual external audits by independent industrial safety auditors.

We operate air tours out of the south rim of the Grand Canyon, located across from Grand Canyon Airport, Las Vegas out of our VIP terminal located at McCarran Atlantic Terminal, and out of Page, AZ from the Page Municipal Airport.

Helicopters: We recommend that a pregnant woman in her 3rd (last) trimester check with her doctor before flying; however, due to the lower altitudes of our flights, we do NOT have any restrictions.
